The 5-star Hotel Izulu in Ballito continues to impress guests with its culinary excellence and proudly continues its journey by presenting its festive season menus for 2013.
Festive Year End Function Buffet Menu is available from Monday to Friday, until 15 December 2013, for either lunch or dinner, at just R200.00 per person and includes a three course buffet. Starters include a variety of salads such as Parma ham and fig salad with toasted almonds, rocket and aged balsamic, tuna niçoise salad with olives, tomatoes, red onion, green beans, mint and quails eggs. For main course, Beef Wellington with horseradish cream, Acacia honey glazed deboned baby chicken, hake, squid and mussel stew with tomato, peppers, white wine and saffron and a selection of potatoes and vegetables. For dessert, indulge in delectable tiramisu, apple and rhubarb crumble with custard and fruit salad and ice cream.
On Christmas Day a three course buffet lunch will be presented in the Imbizo Hall from 12h00 at just R480.00 per adult and R280.00 for children ages 3-12. Some of the starter options include smoked salmon with lemon, red onion, capers and homemade beer bread or mini Yorkshire puddings with rare roasted beef fillet and horseradish cream. For the main course feast on roast turducken, honey and mustard glazed gammon, roast loin of pork, roast leg of lamb, roast sirloin of beef or seared salmon fillet with a selection of roast potatoes, vegetables and gravy. Add a sweet ending with desserts including chocolate truffle torte with crushed Amaretti biscuits, fig and almond tart with Chantilly cream, lemon meringue pie and traditional Christmas cake with brandy cream.
New Years Eve has over the years become one of the leading venues in Kwa-Zulu Natal for guests to celebrate into the New Year. Guests are invited to dine in the famous GiGi’s Brasserie at R695.00 per adult, with a bottle of bubbly included per couple, and R420.00 for children ages 3-12, from 19h30. The seven course signature menu will start with amuse bouche, followed by signature starters, a fish course, a lemon sorbet palette cleanser, a meat course, decadent desserts and to conclude a selection of South African cheeses with preserves and a selection of crackers and bread. Each course will have two options that guests may choose from.
